Map the Museum

United Kingdom’s Docs Map the Museum

Map the Museum is an experimental website that allows users to browse through a selection of objects from Brighton & Hove collections and pin them to a map.

The objects are presently taken from Fine Art, Local History, and Archaeology collections, and include prints, photographs, pieces of ephemera, objects made or sold locally, and items that have been excavated within the city.

By contributing to the map, users can help enhance the museums’ object records. They will also be adding to a source of open data that can be used by others. People are also asked to give feedback on the format of the website.
