The project is planning a model Population Action addressing to the general public to participate in the celebrations of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution.Crowdsourcers will adding to the general narrative a piece of his personal history, of the history of their family, of their place. The Population Action is a case study project for the active participation of citizens in capturing the modern historical memory of the Greek Revolution of 1821. Also, “The Greek Revolution of 1821: Digital Archive” will make a public call (both for researchers and members of the public in general) for participation in the transcription of archival documents via the relevant software, on the lines of international crowdsourcing programs. This option can serve as a valuable educational tool and basis for cooperation with international research bodies.
